Come color che un colpo al basso ventre
Piega in avanti col sedere indietro,
E furba beatitudine negli occhi.
As laid low by a kick,
He leans forward, rear protruding,
With sly simplicity in his eyes….
They vociferate and exclaim, in the accent of Adalgisa,51 while the Marquise Crespina Agnellini in Pirelloni sings in Milanese. The words “Viva il nostro Papà” (“Long live Papa!”) ring out in the soundtrack, like a litany.
