The last form of meditation needed to develop your telepathic skills is that of visualization. This form will help you to strengthen your ability to envision an object, person, event, or idea with greater clarity and conviction. Since only the strongest thoughts travel well, you must think clearly and soundly if you ever want to send your thoughts to another person. This is another way in which thoughts can be seen as being similar to radio waves. Weak radio transmissions only travel over short distances and are usually hard to hear over the other noise around. In contrast, strong radio signals can travel great distances, drowning out all unwanted noise, thereby capturing the attention of the listener. By developing your visualization abilities, you will ensure that the signal you send to others is strong, clear, and powerful, thus getting the desired message through every time. All of the steps for these forms of meditation are clearly outlined in the above chapter on meditation.

Yoga: It is recommended that you practice yoga as well as relaxation meditation to clear your mind and achieve the relaxed state of being needed to connect with your inner psychic abilities. In addition to deepening the relaxed state of your mind, yoga has many physiological benefits that will help to improve your telepathic abilities. One such benefit is the improved blood flow to the brain. By stretching out your muscles, you will release the tension that can reduce the flow of blood carrying oxygen to your brain, thus improving your mental clarity. The more blood your brain receives, the more oxygen it gets. Oxygen is vital for such things as clarity of thought, memory, and the ability to visualize—this is fundamental for anyone trying to develop their telepathic communication. Yoga can be practiced in conjunction with meditation or practiced on its own. The important thing is to integrate yoga into your day-to-day life in order to give yourself the best chance of success in developing any psychic skill.

One-on-one practice: Since telepathy requires a minimum of two participants, this is one of the psychic skills that you can develop with the help of another. While you can choose anyone to help you in this exercise, it is recommended that you pick someone who has, at the very least, an open enough mind to believe in telepathy, and at the most, some experience of their own concerning telepathic communication. If you pick someone who doesn’t believe in the process, your results will be hampered. Once you find a suitable partner, the next step is to create some exercises that will help you to hone your telepathic skills. One of the best exercises is to play the time-tested game of “Which card am I holding?” Sit at a table facing one another and have your partner draw a random card from a deck of cards. Let them stare at the card for about ten seconds, focusing strongly on what they see. As they are staring at their card, take the time to clear your mind of all thoughts, keeping it open to receive their message.
