Defining Model 1.6 With IBM SPSS Menu Commands
Note: IBM SPSS settings default to those used in Model 1.5.
1. Go to the toolbar and select ANALYZE, MIXED MODELS, GENERALIZED LINEAR. This command opens the Generalized Linear Mixed Models (GENLIN MIXED) main dialog box.
2a. The Generalized Linear Mixed Models dialog box displays the Fields & Effects command tab and Fixed Effects item. The Fixed Effects item (represented in the illustration by the dashed-line box) is the preselected default as it was the last setting used in the prior model.
b. We will change the model’s distribution to a binary probit, which specifies a binomial distribution with a probit link and is used when the target is a binary response with an underlying normal distribution. First, click the Target item to access the target and distribution main screen.
c. Now click the Binary probit option.
