10. Fish Casserole

This casserole has a layer of fish as the surprise at the bottom. It is quite simple to make and is also perfect as a one dish meal.

Serves 8

Ingredients

2 pounds small fish steaks

2 large sliced onions

1 large sliced tomato

1 pint white sauce

2 C. cooked macaroni

2 oz grated cheese

Preparation

Season the fish steaks, place in a casserole dish.

Bake them in an oven pre-heated to 180 C, for ten to twelve minutes uncovered.

Pour off any water which may have accumulated then layer the onions and tomatoes on top, followed by the macaroni.

Using the white sauce, pour over casserole. Sprinkle grated cheese on top.

Bake covered for thirty minutes.
