Chapter 10
His tongue tangled with hers, his heart bursting from the knowledge that they wouldn’t be parted tonight and reveling in the idea that she would sleep beside him tonight as she had last night, as he hoped she would for many nights to come.
Sliding his hands down her back, he cupped her bottom and shifted her onto his lap. She straddled his thighs, instantly setting off a chain reaction of intense desire within him. His blood rushed to his groin, and his dick sprang to life, pulsing and throbbing, growing larger and harder with every slide of her sweet, silky tongue against his.
God, how he wanted her, but he had no expectations about tonight. They hadn’t talked about what would happen over their twenty-four hours together, aside from the fact that they would spend that time as a couple and had tacitly agreed not to talk about Jax or Thatcher. The rest? That was up to Mad, and he wouldn’t push or pressure her to give any more than she offered.
She arched her back, pressing her core against him, the pressure of her softly gyrating body against the zipper of his pants making him groan into her mouth. He slid his hands to her waist, slipping them under her shirt until his palms were flat on the warm, soft skin of her lower back.
“Uh, folks? Folks, we’re here?”
Cort’s eyes popped open. The car had stopped moving, and they were idling in front of his house. But her lips still moved on his greedily, her hands dragging through his hair as she kissed him urgently.
Pulling away from her, he said, “Mad, we’re here.”
Her lips were parted and slack, and her eyes opened slowly to look at him.
“Cort,” she said, her eyes glazed, her voice husky and desperate, “take me to bed.”
Heat flared inside of him as she scrambled off his lap and opened the car door. He grabbed her small duffel bag and slid across the seat to follow her out, muttering “Thanks” to the driver as he shut the door.
She stood on the sidewalk facing him, a sweet smile on her lips.
Cort gestured to his front door with a flick of his chin. “Want to come in?”
“Yes. But we have to talk first.”
“What happened to ‘Take me to bed’?”
She sighed. “Fresh air cleared my head.”
He glanced down at his swollen cock, all but bursting against the zipper of his jeans. “I’m dying a little here, baby.”
Her eyes followed his, dancing with mirth when she looked back up at him. “So I see.”
“I’m not alone either,” he said, dropping his eyes to her nipples, which strained against her thin, billowy blouse.
“No,” she said, her voice slightly lower, her smile giving way to a hotter, more needy look. “You’re not.”
“So let’s talk inside.”
She shook her head no. “Here.”
Cort sighed, hitching her flowered bag a little higher on his shoulder, waiting for her to continue.
“No talking about Jax or Thatcher,” she said. “If you talk about Jax, I won’t be able to stay.
