Look at the right eye of the photo and work out which grid square you need to start in. Then mark the starting point lightly on the paper.

Keep referring back to your photo grid and start to draw the outline of the eye lightly.

Now add some of the darker aspects of the eye. Remember it will be blended later, so don’t worry about it being too accurate.

Blend with your blending tool using the scumbling technique.

Use your pencil to go over the outline lightly.

Next you add the eyelashes, taking note of where they are on the photo and the shape of them.

Using the blending tool and the scumbling technique, start to spread outwards from the drawn eye.

With a tiny piece of putty rubber, roll it into a point that is fine, and add the highlights to the eye, commonly found in the pupil and the iris.

Also do the same with the crease lines around the eye.
