CHAPTER EIGHT

TESSA

As soon as Hawk sets me down on my feet, he backs me against the closed door and fuses his lips to mine. I open up wider for him, loving the way his tongue invades my mouth, taking what he needs and giving me everything back in return.

Hawk drags his lips down my neck, nipping at my sensitive flesh and licking away the sting. I tremble beneath his powerful hands, loving the way they glide over my curves and press me closer to him.

“Tessa,” he pants, resting his head in the crook of my neck. “Jesus, woman.”

I tilt my head back, resting it against the door. A smile spreads across my face, even as I fight for air. I can’t believe he wants me so much that I drive him crazy with desire. It’s intoxicating.

“I love everything you do to me,” I murmur.

Hawk groans and palms my ass, squeezing and pressing my core against his hard body. “Love your sexy fucking body,” he replies, his tone deep and dark.

I get a wicked idea, one I never thought I’d be confident enough to pull off. But with Hawk? He makes me feel safe and seen, like I could do anything and he’d be right there to catch me if I fell.

I slip out of his embrace, giggling when the six-foot-tall beast pouts. Hawk changes his mood the instant I pull my shirt over my head. Tossing it right at his shocked face, I turn around before unhooking my bra and throwing it behind me.

“You’re playing a dangerous game, love,” Hawk groans. I take a few steps toward the hallway, where I assume his room is, then peer at him over my shoulder.

His nostrils are flaring, his eyes nearly black with lust. He looks absolutely possessed. I love it.

Without saying anything, I shimmy out of my jeans, leaving them on the floor while I skip down the hall in just my panties. Hawk sounds like he’s in pain, so I shake my hips a bit, prolonging the torture.

Peeking into the first door on the right, I’m ninety-nine percent sure it’s his room. A huge king-sized bed with dark sheets and a nightstand, but not much more. It smells like Hawk, though, so he must sleep here.

I slip inside the room and quickly take my panties off, waving them outside the door like a toreador antagonizing a bull. Hawk snaps, his feet pounding on the hardwood floor as he prowls forward, his eyes never leaving mine.

When he’s right in front of me, Hawk’s eyes flash with a dark hunger, telling me he wants me as much as I want him. He drags my bottom lip through his teeth and then plunges his tongue into my mouth, making me moan. His kiss is primal and needy, and I kiss him back, matching every need of his with a need of my own.

“Fuck,” he says, breaking our kiss. His hips buck, thrusting his erection up against my core, making me wet and needy.
