The Aging Process

As women age and gray starts to creep into their hair, their skin tone naturally changes as well. As we get older, our skin color becomes paler and it has more opacity. This means that if you’re in your forties or fifties and you’re still coloring your hair the same shade as when you were younger, it may well be that your skin tone and hair color no longer complement each other. This is very common and often results in older ladies, who have colored their hair dark for years, looking very pale. If your skin tone has developed more opacity over the years, then you should be looking for a lighter hair color because changes in your hair and skin colors are intrinsically linked. Don’t be afraid to adapt. We’re all aging, it’s natural, and the trick is to stay one step ahead. Get great hair color on top of a great cut with the right styling, and you can easily look ten years younger.
