FUCKING JUMP

Chapter Seven - Dylan 3pm

The ground is spinning around faster than it should be going, doing laps around the solar system, doing laps around my head, at speeds not even recognizable. The serenity in my mind has disappeared, I feel a shooting sensation in my ankle, spearing through my entire body. He put me into this sense false of security and then scared the fucking shit into me, bringing everything back down to reality. I can hear him laughing, pointing at my ankle, laughing louder and louder.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I must of fallen, when he shouted, tripped on my own beliefs everything was going to okay I suppose, how fucking ironic. At Least most of the people of Newport don’t really like human interaction, so I’m pretty sure no-one is going to be coming over to me.

I look at my ankle, the swelling is almost immediate.

I touch the most painful area, going just around it, subconsciously checking all the bones are all still where they are supposed to be. I check my pockets for my phone, but there is just an empty space in my pocket. I look around while I'm still flat on my arse, I see my phone to my left, must have skidded across the floor. While I was falling back into reality, falling back into the darkest place I know, my own battle in my own head. I reach over and grab my naked phone, because apparently I’m one of those cocky people who think they don’t need a phone case. I pick it up, and slowly turn it over, like I’m on the show ‘deal or no deal’ slowly opening my red box. The screen is shattered, just like my mind.

You can’t even look after your phone, and keep that safe when I’m around, so how do you think you're going to keep yourself safe.

Dylan you’re next.

FUCK you, I scream it letting everything out. He fucking gave me hope, but he just took it away as quickly, playing god with my own life how is that fair? He knew and deep down I suppose I know I’m never going to feel like that again.

I place my hands, on the hard cold, wet floor, and slowly lift myself up, with my good ankle, slowly putting pressure on the probably twisted ankle, a sharp hot pain, scolding up my leg.

I let out a welp like a wounded animal as I walk two steps, each step burning hotter with every bit of pressure applied. I’m visibly limping through gritted teeth.

Give up, it’s not worth it, just sit there, you don’t deserve all this determination. You think your phone is fucking shattered, you wait until I’m finished with you. I’m a volcano, and I’m bubbling over, your the lava, about to tip over the fucking edge. You and I Dylan, we are about to erupt if you like it or not.

I stagger slowly the way I came, taking regular breaks, the walk now feeling like a real bad idea. My ankle is becoming more and more noticeable swelling up and piercing throughout my body.
