Encrypting ransomware adopts crypto-viral extortion mechanism. Here, it encrypts the victim’s file and demands ransom for decryption. Master Boot Record (MBR) ransomware is a special variant of encrypting ransomware, which can make the operating system unbootable by overwriting the master boot record or master file table.
