In day to day life, though, it helps bring your consciousness back to the moment, just like meditation does. Your mantra can be anything, such as “relax,” “you’re safe,” or anything that helps you to calm yourself at the moment. Decide on your mantra in a moment of calm and quiet so that it is there in the back of your mind when you need it in a moment of anger.
