Thirty-Six

I leave the guys to talk after dinner while I clean up. I know I should probably be in there listening but honestly, I’m exhausted from everything going on. I just want a night where everything seems normal and so far this seems normal. So I’m going to ignore what’s going on in the dining room. My phone vibrates in my back pocket and I shake my head knowing it’s Andy. I pick up and she’s squealing.

“Girl, you need to get yourself ready. There’s a party tonight and we are not missing it.” I laugh. “Andy, me and parties do not mix. You know this, besides I really don’t think the guys are going to be all that happy with that idea.” She grunts.

“They should be fine with this party, the security is insane. It’s being held at the warehouse.” I have no idea what she’s talking about when Dameon walks in. He gives me a look and I tell him what Andy just told me.

“I don’t see why not. The warehouse parties are pretty guarded. Let me talk to the guys and Connor.” I repeated what he said to Andy and she squeals even louder.

“Pick me up on the way. We gotta make an entrance.” I laugh as she hangs up. Ugh, that girl.

I’m actually shocked when everyone agreed that it was ok for me to go to the party. I guess the security is good enough for them. Not to mention, I will have my own team. I get ready and we head out to pick up Andy.

“The dynamic duo is back!” she yells as she climbs into the truck and Xander shakes his head. “Calm down, girl, damn. Now, you’re not going wild tonight. Yes, there’s security but remember, you’re still a target. Please don’t get plastered, Andy.” He looks at Andy and it seems to hit her and she nods.

“Got it. Sorry, I got excited to hang with my girl at a party.” I wrap my arm around her.

“I’m excited as well but only a couple drinks and we pour or open them ourselves.” Her eyes go wide at the thought and nods.

“Definitely.”

We pull up and there’s flashing lights. People are wearing glow sticks and glow paint.

“Fuck, it would figure. They went with a fucking glow rave theme.” Dante mutters under his breath. We park and he looks at us.

“No running off. Try to stay where one of us can see you at all times please.” We both nod. We get to the door and as the entry fees are paid to the guy there’s a girl that starts loading us up with glow sticks and glow paint. I feel like a kid at a fair getting my face painted.

“Um... will this wash off my clothes?” Andy freaks out. The girl laughs.

“Of course. Do you think we want people hunting us down for ruining clothes?” Andy sighs in relief.

“Ok. Paint away.” I shake my head and laugh as I think of Jessie’s face when I come home with my clothes covered in paint.
