Ilook at my phone for the hundredth time this hour. I’m not usually distracted on the work site. That’s how stupid accidents happen. Today, however, I can’t seem to focus on a goddamn thing. How can I, when every time I blink I see images of my sexy fucking woman naked, her breasts bouncing as I thrust into her?

Jesus, I need to get a grip.

I make it all of three minutes before checking my phone again. It’s only two-thirty in the afternoon, but I’m an impatient motherfucker. My Delilah is right on the other side of that wall, her seductive smile and bright blue eyes so close and yet so far.

"Let's break for the day," I announce, the words shocking me as much as everyone in the room. I'm usually the one pushing for one more project before leaving for the day. I'm the one who stays late and cleans up the other guys' messes. Not today.

Today, I have other plans. Plans involving a certain red-headed goddess.

“Did I just have a stroke?” Caleb asks.

“Did you just have a stroke?” Levi asks me, his eyebrows raised in concern.

Dex pulls his headphones down, staring at me as if I have two heads. “You said we’re done for the day?” he shouts across the room.

“No one has had a stroke, but yes, I’m calling off work for the rest of the afternoon.” Again, I’m greeted with either blank or confused stares from my crew. “Fine, you guys stay here if you want. I’m leaving.”

“This wouldn’t be about the flower shop girl, would it?” Caleb asks, though the smirk on his face tells me he already knows the answer.

“Her name is Delilah, and you are all to treat her with respect. She’s mine now, and I’m going to go spend some time with her.”

“Spend some time,” Levi repeats with a chuckle. “Yeah, I have someone I’d like to spend time with, too.”

“Same,” Caleb says eagerly.

“We’re all going home to see our women?” Jake asks, a wide grin on his face.

“I’ll be staying here, blowing shit up and knocking down the last wall over there,” Dex informs the group. I frown at my friend, thinking about how he’s the only one in the group now who doesn’t have anyone in his life. I hope he finds a partner soon. It would do the man some good.

“Lock up when you’re done,” I tell him before gathering my things and nearly sprinting out the door to get to Blushing Blooms. I can hear my crew whooping and hollering at me to get some, but I ignore them, focused solely on my Delilah.

I pull the door open and immediately switch off the open sign. Delilah looks up, her eyes sparkling with delight when she sees me. When she notices the unlit open sign, she quirks an eyebrow up at me in question.

I click the lock on the front door, loving the innocence mixed with the sexy goddess I know she keeps locked away. As I stalk toward my woman, the look in her eyes morphs into lust.
