Zack considers himself fairly experienced in relationships, but he's totally out of his depth now and taking one look at Miles's face convinces him that makes two of them at this table.

"I don't know, Miles. Look—the way it usually works is I meet a guy I'm attracted to, we go out, we have sex, and repeat until we stop seeing each other for one reason or another. But it's different with you. Because⁠—"

"I'm different?" The way Miles says it makes it sound like a bad thing.

"You're special." Zack winces. God, that's so dorky, and Miles must agree because he makes a face. "Okay, forget that. Fuck, Miles. You scare me. You scare the shit out of me. That's how different this feels."

When Miles speaks his voice has a tremulous edge. "You scare me, too."

"Fuck whatever came before this, okay? If I'm scared, I want to be scared with you. Scared together. Okay?"

Miles nods.

"And believe me, making out with you is hotter than a lot of the stuff I've done that was more... involved."

"Really?" Miles doesn't look convinced.

Zack nods, feels a heaviness in his groin just thinking about it. "I've jerked off more in the last two weeks than since I first learned what my dick was for."

Miles's blush is priceless and doesn't do anything to stop the surge of heat in Zack's jeans.

"Every night, I come home, and I can still smell you on me, and don’t want to wash it off. I lie in my bed, in the dark, and touch myself and wish it was you."

Miles's blush deepens and he shifts on his stool. Good. Zack needs to know that Miles wants him just as badly. "So don't think I don't want more. Don't think I haven't thought of every way I want to be with you. I want it, Miles. I want you."

Miles inhales sharply. Zack hopes he hasn't pushed too much, but he's not going to lie.

"So tonight—" Miles stops, looking strained.

"Whatever you want." Zack swallows. He doesn't make promises he can't keep. "I'm serious. You tell me what you want. You want to kiss a little and go to sleep—I'm good with that. You want to tie me up and do kinky shit—I can get into that too. Whatever you want. Anything. Okay?"

"Anything?"

"Yes."

Miles nods, as if he's made up his mind about something. "Work first, then play. Let's go see that exhibit and then...I'll tell you what I want."

Zack groans. He should have known that Miles would want to stick to the schedule. But he's happy, too, because they survived their first conversation about their relationship and Miles isn't running for the hills. Zack wants him more than ever.

"You're so strict," Zack teases. "It's kind of a turn-on."

"Then I'll feel free to boss you around the rest of the day."

Zack would be embarrassed at the way those words go straight to his dick, but he's too into it to care. Still, he drains his beer while they wait for the check and tries to think unsexy thoughts to get the swelling to go down.
