Check your local regulations about raising chickens and obey them.

Plan how you want to raise your chickens and layout the area to grow them in.

Set up a proper henhouse with power for heat and cooling, and easy to clean.

Set up a large enough and safe area for your chickens to walk around

Keep all the area that the chickens use or live in clean and remember to sanitize them.

Sanitize your own clothes and shoes and keep them from polluting the house as much as possible.

Get with your local farm supply to get a feed mix that works.

Get your chickens from a friend or a feed store, (That way you know they are safe to start).

Get multiples of one type of chickens to raise together, so they can socialize.

Protect them from the local animals and this includes securing the henhouse at night.

Follow all steps in butchering and follow all precautions.

Research everything you do, before you do it, planning and knowledge make great chickens.
