Autoimmune Disease (New or Worsening)

Over the course of several years, I was diagnosed with one autoimmune disease after another—lichen sclerosus, frozen shoulder, rheumatoid arthritis, and IBD. They have all been diagnosed by either my GP or different specialists, thus no one was seeing the big picture. It was only after reading several menopause books which quickly mention autoimmune disease that I made the connection and approached my doctor. My periods had been heavy clots for over five years, then stopped. So we discussed that HRT made sense, and I have been using the estrogen patch and progesterone pills for one month now (I am fifty). Please dedicate some time to the link between autoimmune disorders and menopause!
